Ice storms might be a driver’s bane, but its aftermath on nature is stunning.

During a recent trip to southwest Pennsylvania (aka Pennsyltucky), an ice storm had just frozen the region, covering the world in sheets of icy glass. Luckily the roads were clear, but everything else was a glimmering fantasy. The trees looked as if they were suspended an icy tonic, overwrought branches drooping while sun bolts scattered rays of light through the ice’s frigid prism.

Check out a few photos of the icy wonderland and stay tuned for photos of frozen bouquets.
