The jungle’s spindly, lush fingers are slowly encroaching and devouring Angkor Wat’s ancient temples. Their stone beauty sweats under the sultry Cambodian sun as the tree’s roots pulverize their Khmer history, toppling the ancient structures and their ornately carved walls.

In an older blog post (https://blog.micahbrubin.com/angkor-wat/) I shared images of the famed Angkor Wat temple. Today’s post focuses on the Angkor Archeological Park’s minute details, carvings and architectural flourishes often ignored or overlooked.

Stay tuned for Thursday when I’ll be posting additional Angkor images bathed in the evening sun’s buttery glow.

And as always, don’t forget to click on the first photo to view the images in full screen.
